Pot Plants Seized From Pick Up in North Wellington

OPP in Wellington North Township seized 50 mature marijuana plants from the back of a pick up truck.

At about 9pm Saturday, police observed a Ford F-150 travelling slowly on Wellington Road 109, before turning on to East Luther Town Line and stopping.

Police found two men in camouflage clothing standing near the back of the truck with the tail gate open, and a woman sitting inside the truck.

Police say a large bundle was wrapped in a tarp with leafy material sticking out of one corner, in the back of the truck. They say there was a strong odour of marijuana coming from it.

Police arrested two men and a woman.

55 year old Brent Scarisbrick, 59 year old Kevin Collins, and 51 year old Patricia Collins all of Hamilton face charges of produce marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
