Peninsula Shores Sr. Girls Basketball Team Dominate The Court

In Bluewater Athletic Association Senior Girls Basketball, Peninsula Shores won both of their games yesterday, topping West Hill 53-28. Paige Concordia and Steenika Gilbert combined for 32 points.

In the second game they dominated Bruce Peninsula 49-10. Jenny McRobert had 11 points in that game.OSCVI won their first game of the season, a 35-10 decision over St. Marys. Alice Nicolet lead the scoring with ten points.

West Hill topped Peninsula Shores 27-16 in junior girls basketball. Jillian Lyman lead the offense and Ragna Velthof was strong on defense.

In junior boys volleyball, Sacred Heart took two shut out victories yesterday....2-0 over Saugeen and Chesley.

Saugeen then edged Chesley 2-1.

In senior boys volleyball, Saugeen blanked Sacred Heart 2-0.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
