Firefighers Respond To Wingham Call

A faulty electrical switch in a bathroom triggered a smoke alarm at a Wingham home this morning.

Firefighters were paged just before 8:30am about the incident at a Highland Dr. address.

Once there, they confirmed there was smoke and found the faulty electrical switch in a second floor bathroom. All occupants were out of the building when emergency crews arrived.

Department officials say it's another reminder that working smoke alarms do save lives.
