Body Pulled From Wellington North Pond

Police are investigating after the body of a 76-year-old man was pulled from a pond in Wellington North Township.

The Ontario Provincial Police says on Thursday around 4:30pm, officers responded to the pond on Concession 2 after receiving a report that a lawn mower had entered into water and the operator was unaccounted for.

The pond was partially drained and the body of a 76-year-old Wellington North Township man was pulled from the water.

A post mortem has been scheduled for Friday to determine the cause of death.
