Dogs Involved in Hanover Biting Incident Located

The Grey-Bruce Health Unit has some good news for a Hanover man. Two dogs involved in a biting incident this past weekend in Hanover have been identified, and the dogs were properly vaccinated.

The man was walking his dog near the Hanover Post on Saturday when his dog was attacked by two other dogs.    He was bitten when he tried to break-up the scuffle.

On average, the Grey Bruce Health Unit investigates over 400 animal bites a year.

Staff need to confirm the animal is not infectious with rabies.    Verifying the health of the animal ensures the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
