Advance Poll Turnout Up In Midwestern Ontario

Elections Canada reports increased voter turnout in advance polls in all three midwestern Ontario ridings.

About 12,436 voters have already cast their ballot in Huron Bruce, up from just over 7,800 in 2011.

There are 79,533 eligible voters in Huron Bruce.

In Bruce Grey Owen Sound, the number of voters in advance polls increased to 13,452 from 8,718. The area has 81,389 voters.

In Perth Wellington, about 10,450 people have voted, up from 6,603 in the last federal election. 75,217 people are eligible to vote in Perth Wellington.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
