High School Athletics Wrap-up

Sacred Heart swept Bluewater Athletic Association boys volleyball.

The Crusaders took a straight sets victory over Kincardine in junior boys action.

In senior boys volleyball, the Crusaders took straight sets victories over JDSS and Kincardine. JDSS edged Kincardine 2-1 in the third match-up of the day.

In senior girls basketball, Prema Field lead Peninsula Shores with 7 points in the Phoenix 42-16 drubbing of Georgian Bay.

West Hill edged Grey Highlands 26-23 lead by Sarah Pretty with 7 points. Tyya Fearnall, Cailyn Muir and Hailey Bouwmann each had four points in the win.

In Huron Perth Athletic Association action, Payten Lang struck twice as Goderich topped Listowel 4-1 in girls field hockey. Goderich went on to stun Mitchell 10-0. Fiona McIlhargey scored three times and Kyra Lewis had two goals.

In junior boys volleyball, St Michael took a straight sets victory over St. Anne's. Stratford Northwestern defeated F.E. Madill in straight sets and then edged St. Michael 2-1. Elsewhere, St. Anne's defeated F.E. Madill 2-1.

In senior boys volleyball, F.E. Madill topped Stratford Northwestern in straight sets. St. Michael took two straight sets victories yesterday; one over Stratford Northwestern, the other over St. Anne's. In the final match-up, Madill downed St. Anne's in straight sets.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
