Update: Police Name Grand Bend Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash

A woman from Grand Bend was killed in a two-vehicle collision in North Middlesex yesterday afternoon.

A car being driven by 63-year-old Charlotte Degraw of  Grand Bend  was traveling east on Nairn Rd. while a GMC Acadia SUV was travelling west when the collision occurred.

An OPP report indicates the driver of the car lost control and crossed the centre line, and was struck on the passenger side by the SUV. The woman driving the car was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no one else with her.

The man and woman in the SUV were transported to hospital in serious but stable condition.

The 79 year old male driver of the SUV, Hugh Barr, and the 58 year old female passenger, Catherine Barr, each remain in hospital, where they are currently listed in fair condition.

The OPP investigation continues. No names have been released.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
