Thieves Hit Two Locations in Saugeen Shores

Saugeen Shores Police Service is investigating two recent break, enter and thefts.

During the overnight hours Monday and early Tuesday, a storage barn at the Kenorus Campground on Highway 21 between Port Elgin and Southampton was entered.

A John Deere Gator was stolen, and police believe it was used to transport a 20-gallon air compressor and a number of tools from the property to a nearby vehicle. The Gator was found abandoned on the nearby rail trail at Concession 10.

37 trailers at the campground were also forced open and ransacked.

Between October 15th and 17th, someone entered a storage container at the rear of the Stand Up Paddle Board Boutique on Goderich Street in Port Elgin. 15 paddle boards and several paddles were stolen from the container.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Saugeen Shores Police Service or Crime Stoppers of Grey-Bruce.
