Womens House Bruce Grey Raises $30,000.

A fundraising event for the Women's House serving Bruce and Grey raised $30,000. and featured an 80s prom theme

The event at the Queen's Bar and Grill in Port Elgin featured a live auction, silent auction, elimination draws, dinner entertainment, trivia, and a DJ.

Women’s House spokesman Tiffany Love says they could not provide services to Grey and Bruce Counties without fundraised dollars.

“We certainly could not have obtained these successes without the support from our Prestige Sponsor: Bruce Power; and our Corporate Sponsors: Ontario Power Generation, Bruce Telecom, Greenfield Ethanol , Miller Insurance, Armow Wind, Meridian Credit Union, the Co-operators, Power Workers’ Union and, Matchett Financial Services,” states Tiffany Love. “Both the silent and live auctions were huge successes this year due to the continued support of local businesses.”

High school students from KDSS also helped out October 17th.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
