Huron-Perth Board of Health Merger Talks Continue

The Chair of the Huron County Board of Health says the proposed merger with the Perth County Board of Health is moving along well.

Tyler Hessel confirms the Ministry of Health has agreed to provide the funding to hire a consultant to guide the two boards through the process.

Hessel adds getting the funding was a very positive step and he hopes they can move forward on the RFPs for a consultant as quickly as possible, hopefully by the end of the year.

Hessel adds he's very pleased with the progress of the merger negotiations.
