Voyageur Patient Transfer Vehicle Flips On Side On Bruce Peninsula

Four people were injured in a single-vehicle rollover Monday in Northern Bruce Peninsula.

The vehicle was a Voyageur Patient Transfer van that was travelling north on Highway 6, south of Emmet Lake Road.

Police say it appeared the van crossed the centre line and continued into the westbound ditch where it rolled on it's side.

The attending nurse and a patient in the back of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital by ambulance, with minor injuries. The driver and the attending medical transport person were also treated for minor injuries and released.

The 21-year-old male operating the Voyageur Patient Transfer Vehicle has been charged with Careless Driving.
