Major Reno For Old Post Office In Harriston

Harriston’s historic post office is getting a major face lift.

The building in the downtown, with its distinctive clock tower, is being restored by a new private owner, Michael Hendrick.

Minto council heard that the building will be used for professional offices, and most are already spoken for.

Minto Mayor George Bridge says the bell attached to the clock will soon be ringing out the hours.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
