Search In Huron East Turns Up Stolen Property

Two people are facing criminal charges after police executed a search warrant at a residence on Cranbrook Rd. in Huron East.

OPP officers were acting on information that stolen property was located at the property.

Officers located two stolen all terrain vehicles and an ATV trailer.

The 2007 Artic Cat was taken from Huron East, while a 2007 Suzuki was stolen from the Clifford area.

Two men were arrested at the property. Police say one of the men was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.

Colin Fraser, 40, of Huron East has been charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of methamphetamine and failing to comply with a recognizance.

Joseph McNichol 40, of Listowel has been charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
