The MP for Huron-Bruce believes fellow Conservative MP Rona Ambrose brings a lot of experience to the position of interim leader.
Ambrose was selected by the Conservative caucus today
Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb says Ambrose's past includes being in a shadow cabinet and can be effective in holding the government accountable.
"She's been a critic in opposition. She understands what our party needs to do to be an effective opposition in Ottawa. She's committed to touring the country coast to coast to make sure all of the voices are heard," says Lobb.
Lobb says a shadow cabinet will be selected by Ambrose and her team in the near future.
Another key task for the interim Conservative leader, to rebuild the party heading into the eventual formal leadership race.
