Huron East Rejects Requests From Anti Wind Turbine Group

Huron East council has decided not to take any action on two requests made by the group Huron East Against Turbines.

Mayor Bernie MacLellan explains the first request asked that the municipality to compile a list of contacts of wind energy companies so people would know who to contact if they had a complaint or concern.

The second was a request for council's support for a motion requiring the federal provisions of the Radiation Emitting Devices Act be applied wind turbine sound emissions.

MacLellan stated the list of wind energy company contacts is something the Community Liaison Committee should do

He adds the second request should be settled between the federal and provincial governments.
