Major Donation For Wingham & District Hospital Campaign

The Our Hospital, Our Future campaign for the Wingham and District Hospital has collected it's first major donation.

Joe Kerr Limited has announced a $100,000 contribution to the campaign over five years.

Company officials say it's part of their on-going commitment to the community, on behalf of the present and future generations of the construction firm.

The future generations were represented by children of Joe Kerr Limited employees taking part in the cheque presentation.

Campaign Chair Mark Foxton says they're still in the quiet stage of the campaign, building a base to work from.

He says their goal is to have $1-million pledged by the end of 2015.

The campaign is raising money for major renovations at the Wingham and District Hospital aimed at keeping up with a new healthcare reality, an aging population and creating a top tier healthcare facility to stand the test of time.
