UPDATE: Power Restoration Expected Saturday Night

Hydro One now says it could take until tomorrow night to restore power to parts of the region after winds of 100 km/h roared through Midwestern Ontario Friday morning.

As of 9:30pm on Friday, Hydro One says around 3,500 local residents are still without power and are part of the 65,500 who are still experiencing an outage across the province.

Crews have been out in full force all day and are dealing with not only downed power lines, but broken poles as well.

The estimated restoration time for those still experiencing an outage is not until 8pm Saturday night.
