Bruce Power's Unit 4 Synchronized To Grid

Bruce Power’s Unit 4 has returned to service after a planned maintenance outage.

Before it was taken off line, Unit 4 had operated continuously for over a year.   It's now providing about 750 megawatts of electricity to the provincial grid.

All eight units at Bruce Power are currently supplying over 30 per cent of Ontario’s energy.

"This investment in maintenance was made so Unit 4 can run safely and reliably through its next operational cycle," said Paul Boucher, Senior Vice President, Bruce A.

"By investing strategically in our planned maintenance programs, we are setting the table for a strong performance this winter, while helping keep the air clean for Ontario families."
