Shotgun Lost in Southgate Bush

A hunter from Kitchener has reported a lost shotgun in the Township of Southgate.

He informed Grey County OPP Monday that he had been hunting with others in a bush north of Grey Road 9 on Saturday, between Southgate Sideroad 47 and Southgate Sideroad 49.

When it started to rain, the hunting party quickly packed up and left the area. The following day he discovered that he had left his shotgun behind, so the man returned to the area, but was unable to find the shotgun.

It's described as: a Beretta Model 303, 12GA, semi-automatic, 30” barrel, brown wooden stock with black metal, firearm identification number: 3882873. The firearm was unloaded but did have ammunition attached to it by way of a stock sleeve.

Anyone with any information about this shotgun is asked to contact Grey County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
