Food For Fines At Library In Owen Sound

The Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library will help stock the shelves at the Salvation Army Food Bank.

The Library is offering patrons a chance to donate non perishable food items instead of paying overdue fines.

Each item will knock $2 off the fine, with the offer good until Friday, November 27.

The Salvation Army is currently serving about 700 people a month.

They need items like pasta sauce, canned fruit, cereals, juice and boxed macaroni and cheese.
