Driver Registers Over Three Times The Legal Limit

Owen Sound police say thanks to a concerned citizen an alleged impaired driver is off the streets.

According to police, they received a phone call shortly after 10pm Saturday night to report a driver that was thought to be impaired.

A concerned citizen noticed a woman fall while exiting her vehicle outside of a restaurant and quickly phoned the authorities.

The 65-year-old female driver was arrested, taken for breath analysis where the results came back at over three times the legal limit.

The woman was subsequently charged with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.

Her license has been suspended for 90 days and her car impounded for seven days.

She is due to appear in court on November 26, 2015.
