Huron County Gift Exchange Becomes Toy Drive

Huron County councillors and staff will be exchanging Christmas gifts this year, but it won't be the normal exchange.

C-A-O Brenda Orchard explains council wanted to go beyond the customary food drive by exchanging gifts.

Names are drawn and each person has to buy a toy that they believe that person would have like when they were a child.

That gift is then wrapped and presented to the person at December's county council meeting.

Orchard says after everyone has had a laugh, the toys will be given to the Huron County Christmas Bureau.
