Knights Win Consecutive BAA Jr Girls Basketball Title

The Kincardine Knights won the Bluewater Athletic Association Junior Girls Basketball Championship for the second year in a row, downing OSCVI 33-14. A balanced scoring attack led the Knights to victory.
In Senior Girls Basketball, Peninsula Shores topped Kincardine 55-26 in the semi-final then downed Sacred Heart 45-20 to win the championship.

In Huron Perth Athletic Association action, St. Marys edged Stratford Northwestern 38-35 to win the Junior Girls Basketball championship.

In Senior Girls Basketball, St. Michael's Taylor Grasby had 24 points as they defeated South Huron 58-30 in the championship final. Avery Wedow had 16 points for St. Michael.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
