Policing Agreement Ratified in Saugeen Shores

There's a new policing agreement in Saugeen Shores.

Members of the Police Association and the Police Services Board have ratified a three year collective agreement.

It will result in wage and benefit cost increases totaling 2.25 per cent in 2015 and 1.82 per cent in 2016. The wage increase in 2017 will be determined by averaging certain other Ontario police service wage increases settled for that year.

The new agreement also supports improved employee health and fitness and more equitable reimbursement of work related expenses.

Offsetting savings will be achieved through changes to contract provisions relating to vacation accumulation.
