Meaford Library Launches Faster Catalogue System

Patrons of the Meaford Public Library will have easier access to the Library’s catalogue of 38,000 books, magazines, e-books, CDs and DVDs.

Technical Services Coordinator Lynne Fascinato says starting today, the new catalogue system will allow patrons to renew books and other items as well as place a hold on an item.

Fascinato says a company hired by Meaford began work on setting up the new comprehensive catalogue in July.  The newly-installed system is ready to serve library users today.

"The new system also allows patrons to change their address, phone number or other personal information," she says. "If you can’t find a book or other item in our catalogue, you can ask for that item as an interlibrary loan. Or, you can place a request for us to buy that item."

Fascinato says if you have any questions about the new catalogue, drop by the library or give them a call at (519) 538-1060 ext. 1123.
