Christmas Tree Day Upcoming

Simcoe-Grey MPP Jim Wilson has urged fellow MPP's to observe Ontario's first Christmas Tree Day on Saturday, Dec. 5th.
Wilson also called on  his fellow MPPs and residents across Ontario to mark the day down and purchase a real tree to help support the economy.
There are 647 tree farms in Ontario, and the industry rakes in roughly $12 million per year. It employs thousands of people in the agriculture, retail, and transportation industries.
In June of this year, Wilson's Private Member's Bill - The Christmas Tree Day Act - received Royal Assent, making Christmas Tree Day the first Saturday in December each year.
