Bluewater Elementary Teachers And Board Reach Tentative Deal

The Bluewater District School Board and the Elementary School Teachers' Federation of Ontario have reached a tentative agreement.

“We are very pleased to announce that a tentative deal was reached between our bargaining team and the school board,” says Bluewater Teacher Local President Julie Stanley. “The agreement was arrived at as a result of committed bargaining by both the union and the school board.”

While no details of the agreement have been released, teachers are expected to meet on December 10 to vote on the agreement.

This tentative agreement comes on the heels of the larger central agreement reached at the provincial level back in early November.

Officials on both sides believe this agreement is fair to both Bluewater teachers and the Bluewater school board.
