Team Tippin Wins Listowel Libro Women's Classic

Julie Tippin's Woodstock rink topped Megan Balsdon's rink 5-3 to win the Listowel Libro Women's Classic.

Perth Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece presented Tippin with a $2500 dollar cheque following the win.

The winner of the consolation final was Listowel's own Team Cottrill skipped by Katie Cottrill. They topped Kerry Lackie 5-2 to win the consolation final.

Pettapiece presented Cottrill and her team with an $800 dollar cheque following the tournament.

It was the first time the Listowel Libro Women's Classic was held and organizer hope to bring it back next year. It's part of the Ontario Curling Tour.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
