Boy Injured While Working With Planer

A seven-year-old boy from Grey County is recovering from what police are calling a 'life-altering injury'.

The boy was working with his father Friday evening at a property on Grey Road 9 in Grey Highlands. The boy badly injured his arm in an industrial-style wood planer.

He was transported to a Toronto hospital for further medical attention. The Ministry of Labour is investigating.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
