A fundraiser at Stratford Northwestern Secondary School will benefit the Stratford Welcomes Refugees Initiative. The event will be hosted by the past and present members of the Culinary Club at the school's Screaming Avocado Cafe December 7th. Stratford hopes to raise $225,000. to bring five families to the city by the end of the year. At this point nearly $120,000 has been raised. Some of the highlights include Chicken and Shrimp Creole, A trio of Syrian desserts, Chocolate Mint Smoothies, and Beer from the Black Swan Brewery. The dinner will offer two seatings at 5:30pm and 7:30 pm on Monday.
