ATV Hits OPP Cruiser In Wroxeter

Police have charged a 21-year-old Wroxeter driver after an out of control ATV bumped into a parked police cruiser.

Huron OPP says an officer was stopped on Main St. in Wroxeter on November 22, when he observed an ATV skidding out of control just after midnight.

The driver couldn't stop and bumped the the parked vehicle, before reversing and driving through village back yards in a dangerous manner.

Police caught up with the driver stuck in a cornfield off Mclaughlin St.

Cody Goetz, 21, of Wroxeter has been charged with several offences including impaired driving, and flight from police. He will appear in court in Wingham on February 18.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
