Huron County Warden Ready For Second Year

This is the time of year when many county councils are electing a new warden.

But for Huron County Warden Paul Gowing it's the beginning of the second year of a two-year term.

Gowing admits he had some doubts about a two-year term, but he's convinced now that the benefits far outweigh any concerns.  Gowing explains after one year he's just getting a feel for how things work and there are a number of projects on the go that he's looking forward to seeing completed.

He adds it would be frustrating to have to walk away now from them. He believes it would also be difficult for a new warden to step in now without losing time in getting up to speed.
