The mayor of Goderich has revealed a proposal for a new hotel in the town.
Kevin Morrison explains the town had sent out requests for proposals for the former Victoria Street Public School property and received two submissions.
One was conceptual drawings from Allan Lavis Architects outlining what could be done with the property. The other was a proposal for a 60 to 65-room hotel and conference centre.
Morrison adds Phase 1 and Phase 2 of an environmental assessment are done and they'll deal further with the proposal at next week's Goderich council meeting.
