Via Changes Good News For St. Marys And Stratford

The Southwestern Ontario Transportation Alliance says Via Rail passengers from the Windsor area can now reach St. Marys, Stratford, Kitchener and Guelph before 10am

The alliance says that will make same day trips possible, boost tourism, and reduce automobile pollution.

It says Via Rail has finally responded to repeated requests to restore train connections at London, between the early morning trains to Toronto via Brantford and Via Kitchener.

The connection was lost through federal budget cuts in 2012.

The alliance says schedule adjustments to improve Toronto connections will now allow Southwestern Ontario passengers to reach Ottawa and Montreal up to 90 minutes earlier.
