Bruce Peninsula OPP Auxiliary Host Successful Food Drives

The Bruce Peninsula OPP Auxiliary Unit held a number of successful food drives in the region.

Members collected for the food bank at Wiarton Foodland, Fretz's Valu-Mart, Hellyer's Foodland, and Peacock's foodland.

All food donations will stay in the local community.

2,225 lbs was collected for Wiarton and Sauble, while 850 lbs of food was donated for Lions Head Food bank.

Tobermory food bank will receive 854 lbs.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
