Threats At Goderich High School Lead To Charges

A 15-year-old student is facing charges after online threats were made at a Goderich high school.

The Ontario Provincial Police says on Tuesday around noon, officers were notified that a Goderich District Collegiate Institute student had posted a threat on a social media website to cause harm to other students and staff.

Officers attended the school and quickly identified a suspect.

A 15-year-old male youth has been arrested charged with uttering threats. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for February 11, 2016 at the Youth Justice Court in Goderich.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
