Bruce Power Receives Platts Global Energy Award

Just a week after announcing a major multi-year investment program, Bruce Power has been honoured with an industry leadership award in New York City.

It's the Platts Global Energy Award for Industry Leadership, and is described as "the Oscars of the energy industry."

It highlights corporate and individual innovation, leadership, and superior performance in 17 categories that span the entire energy complex.

Finalists are chosen from more than 200 nominations in over three dozen countries, including some of the world's leading energy giants in both conventional and alternative energy.

Bruce Power President and CEO Duncan Hawthorne was in New York to accept the award.

"This really caps off a very successful year for our company when we’ve secured our long term future while reaching new heights in safety performance and output," says Hawthorne. "It's an honour to accept this on behalf of our 4,200 employees who work so hard every day to make Bruce Power an industry leader."
