Rare Canadian Bills Stolen In Owen Sound

Police in Owen Sound are asking banks and local businesses to keep an eye out for a couple of unusual Canadian bills.

An elderly woman reported to police on Saturday that several gift cards and some cash had been stolen from her west side apartment.

The money was in the form of two Canadian $1,000 bills that had been handed down by a family member.   The bills had an issue date in the 1960's.

Owen Sound Police are asking that if someone tries to make a purchase or make change for a $1,000 bill, you give them a call.
