String Of Business Break-Ins In Meaford Area

Police are investigating series of break-ins to Meaford businesses.

Grey County OPP says various locations were targeted by thieves between December 6 and 12.

KJ's Kitchen Trailer on Sykes St. N was entered, and a cash box was stolen, along with alcohol and prescription medication.

A storage container at Alex's Gas Bar was entered, but it doesn't appear anything was taken.

Two boats in dry dock at Richardson Boats were entered and ransacked.

Two storage trailers behind Meaford Bowl on Thompson St. were also broken into.

Four storage units at Meaford Mini Storage were also forcibly entered.  It is unknown if anything was taken from the boats, storage units or trailers.

Grandma Lambe's Fruit Market on Hwy. 26 was also broken into.  Baked goods and a small amount of cash were taken.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
