Stratford Perth Museum Replicates Perth Regiment Homecoming

The Stratford Perth Museum is recreating the home coming of the Perth Regiment that was held on January 16, 1946.

On that day, 70 years ago, the parade square on the top floor of the Stratford Armoury on Waterloo St. S was packed as residents gathered to welcome home the regiment

On January 15, 2016, the museum plans to host a dance to replicate the event.

A slide show will include dozens of images from the Perth's triumphant return in 1946.

The ticket for the event copies what the ticket looked like in 1946.

The Festival City Big Band will provide entertainment, and participants are encouraged to dress up in period clothing, and brush up on how to dance the Charleston.
