The Perth Huron United way has raised 70% of their campaign goal this year.

Campaign Chair Andrew Williams is confident they will be able to reach the 100% mark in their efforts to raise $1.275-million.

He says the money helps various agencies supported by the United Way make the lives of local residents better.

Meanwhile, the United Way and community volunteers are hoping to stuff a bus with food today.

The Cherry Bus Lines vehicle is parked at their officer on Erie St. in Stratford until 4pm today.

Donations go to local food banks to ensure basic needs of residents are met over the holiday season.
