Grey Bruce Health Unit Signs Contract With ONA

The Ontario Nurses Association Local 004 has a new contract agreement with the Grey Bruce Health Unit.

The Board of Health announced the ratification of that agreement today for the registered nurses and public health nurses.

The four-year pact begins in January, and includes a wage increase of 1.5% in each of the first two years.

The third year offers a pay hike of 1.75%, and the fourth year will involve aligning wages with other sectors within the organization.

The contract includes a signing bonus, and some language adjustments.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
