'Well Organized' Shoplifter In Stratford

Police in Stratford are asking for help from the public in identifying a suspect who was caught on camera stealing from a store.

Shortly after 9am yesterday morning, a woman entered the Sobey's store, filled a shopping cart with items and left without paying.  Items included meat, baby formula and grocery products.

The value of the stolen merchandise is in excess of $4,000.

Staff in the Sobey's described the woman as "calm and well organized." A vehicle was waiting for her outside the store, with at least one other person inside.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
