Hanover Dog Bite Victim Hopes To Avoid Rabies Treatment

The Grey Bruce Health Unit hopes the owner of a dog will come forward after a woman was bitten at the Hanover dog park.

It happened about 11am Thursday while the woman was trying to separate two dogs that were fighting at the park.

The dog is a large black and tan animal, possibly a lab and shepherd cross.

If health unit staff cannot confirm the dog has up to date rabies vaccinations, then the victim will have to go through post exposure rabies treatment.
