New CAO in Bluewater

The Municipality of Bluewater has a new CAO.

Mayor Tyler Hessel and council announced on Friday that Kyle Pratt from Plympton-Wyomong will take over as Bluewater CAO effective January 18 of next year.

He replaces Gary Long who resigned in mid-October after coming to Bluewater from North Huron a little over a year ago.

Pratt holds a master's degree in public administration from the University of Western Ontario, an honours BA in political science and is a certified human resource professional.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
