Two Charged In Owen Sound Drug Bust

A man and a woman are facing charges after police executed a drug bust in Owen Sound.

The Owen Sound Police Service says on Friday, an investigation into drug trafficking activity at an east side residence led officers to obtain and execute a search warrant at the home.

During the search, officers with the OPP Drug Unit and the Criminal Investigations Branch seized quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription narcotics. Police also seized scales, packaging, cash and cell phones.

As a result Joseph King, 55, of Owen Sound is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of Oxycodone
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of hydromorphone
  • Possession of pethidine
  • Possession of morphine
  • Possession of proceeds obtained by crime
Megan Clement, 23, of Owen Sound is also facing the following charges:
  • Possession of pethidine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of marijuana
Both will remain in police custody pending a bail hearing on December 19.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
