Minto's Record-Breaking Construction Year

Minto continues its record-breaking year for new construction.

To the end of November, $23.3-million in permits had been issued compared to the previous year when the total for the same period was just over $14-million.

Increases included multiple family dwellings hitting $2.3-million, three times the previous year’s total; agricultural construction at $6.6-million, or more than six times the previous year; and institutional at $6-million, or 24 times as high as the previous year.

Council heard December continues to be strong, thanks in part to the good weather for construction.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
