More People Giving More This Christmas: Salvation Army

So far, so good for the Salvation Army's Annual Christmas Kettle Campaign.

They are well on their way to meeting their fund raising goal of $21-million dollars at branches right across the country.

Major Sterling Snelgrove is with the Hanover Salvation Army Branch and says as Christmas draws closer, the spirit of giving is in the air.

He says this year there seems to be that extra little bit of food being organized, toys being collected and people giving a little bit more;  and more often into the kettles that they pass by.

"Our financial goal, we're getting closer and closer to achieving that and we're pretty confident that we will get it before the end of the campaign so we're excited about that here," says Snelgrove.

Snelgrove says the toy donations have been overwhelming and they hope to deliver them today and tomorrow (Monday and Tuesday) to children within the community.
