Traffic Stop in Clinton Leads to Drug Trafficking Charges

Two men have a court date in Goderich after a traffic stop in Clinton lead to drug trafficking charges. OPP pulled a vehicle over about 4:30 am on December 20th, when a motorist allegedly ran a stop sign. The officer realized the driver was under a court imposed curfew, so he was arrested. Police also say they observed suspected methamphetamine in plain view. Both occupants were searched, and police says they seized cocaine, meth, and marijuana. 43 year old Steven Nichol of Malahide Township and 30 year old Michael Vail of London face trafficking charges.

Vail and Nichol area both charged with Possession of Cannabis Marijuana for the Purposes of Trafficking Under 3KG, Possession of Cocaine for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order, and Fail to Comply with a Probation .

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
